Halifax: Number of homeowners at highest levels since 2007

The number of home moves in the year to June reached the highest level since 2007, figures from Halifax have revealed.

461,010 home moves took place over the period, this was an increase of more than 52% on the previous 12 months.

More than half of tenants would pay more for greener home

A recent survey from rental platform LettingaProperty.com has revealed just how important green issues have become to UK renters.

98% of respondents said that they would prefer a property that was optimised to increase energy efficiency, reduce energy costs, and minimise environmental impact. More than half of tenants would also be willing to pay more rent to live in a greener home.

Two thirds of landlords say business barely affected by pandemic

New research conducted in September for Foundation Homes Loans revealed that only 1% of landlords expect to lose their business because of the pandemic. 64% of landlords interviewed believe that the pandemic will have a small impact on their business.
