ONS: House price growth soared to 11.8% during September

The UK average house price rose by 11.8% to a record high of £270,000 in the year to September, up from 10.2% in August, and £6,000 higher than the previous all-time high set in June.

Government urged to plan homes for climate change

A new report has found that more homes than ever before are at risk of flooding. Think tank Localis, are calling on the government to implement policy changes that would bolster climate resilience

According to the new report, titled Plain Dealing -building for flood resilience, developers should be banned from building on floodplains.

Zoopla: Rent increases hit 13-year high as demand in major cities double

Rents across the UK are on the rise, hitting a 13 year high as demand from renters in major cities doubles.

The typical cost of renting a home in the UK, excluding London, is now standing at £809 per month, according to Zoopla’s latest Rental Market Report.
